Rifleman GD is the front-line troop category of Assam Rifles. GD personnel handle operational duties, security, patrolling, and field deployments. Both male and female candidates are eligible for this post. Typing proficiency in English (35 WPM) or Hindi (30 WPM) is required in addition to 12th pass qualification.
With 95 vacancies, Rifleman Armourer is by far the largest post in this recruitment. Armourers are responsible for maintenance, repair, and inspection of weapons and firearms used by Assam Rifles units.
